Title

Web page header (H1)
All of your web pages must have an H1, only one. It must not exceed 40 characters. And similarly as in Title, you must not repeat same keyword more than two times. The first word in the H1 should preferably be the secondary keyword that defines your website. Secondary in sense, the First keyword of your web site is the Page Title. You must skip the habit of making the H1 and Title keywords similar.
Contents and Number of Pages
Search Engines lists the pages you have in your web site. Your website would benefit a lot if you significantly increased the number of pages it contains.
The more pages a website contains, the better it is. Every new relevant page represents an opportunity to increase your visibility in the search engine results on more of your keywords.
If you have large number of text in single page then it might not be good search engine visibility. Rather, break up the contents in two or more pages; this will create space in search engine for several listing of your web site.
Volume of your text contents
Breaking of page doesn’t mean that you must create a separate page for each paragraph. You must divide your text contents according to your need. The web page having main content text less than 600 is not considered good in the eyes of search engines. The search engine will list the one above who have larger and unique content. Also the visitor goes to the page with larger contents. You might have noticed that most of the search engine results specify the size of the web page.
Always remember that Search engine reads only texts no images. Therefore make habit of putting alternate attribute for image tags. The search engine will list your images by reading your alternate tags, if you don’t have one then search engine will recognize it as just a normal HTML tag.

Source code vs. Web page Contents

Meta description
Besides contents, there are some things that alternately define your website. I know we all are aware about this. Therefore, it is not necessary to describe it much. When the Meta description contains a keyword, it can have a small positive effect in the search engines. The earlier the keyword appears in the Meta description, the better it is. Description must not contain much stopping words like, and, for, on , the, etc. Search engine doesn’t read these words, rather they skips it.
Meta Keywords
This is another thing most of us know about. We all define Meta Tags, but we forget it’s limit. Don’t exceed Meta Keywords by 5.
URL

These are the fastidious things that Search Engine looks for. Oh yes, I nearly forgot to mention it. Validity, you must have your web page HTML codes standard for all browsers and valid. This will reduce the confusion for search engine. HTML and CSS codes work as a road and contents as a trees and buildings at the bank of roads.
